Dear Commissioners,

After a careful review of the latest census data for our constituencies and in consultation with community leaders, we are writing to propose that our existing boundaries for our Electoral Districts remain unchanged.

The existing boundaries reflect communities of interest and economic trading areas. Furthermore, our Electoral District populations are reasonably close to the provincial average.

We believe the residents within our Electoral Districts will be well served for another decade under the existing boundaries.

Moreover, under the Electoral Boundary Readjustment Act, we ask that the Electoral District of Churchill-Keewatinook Aski be given special consideration due to its already large geographic size, and that the boundaries remain unchanged.

We believe it is important to take into consideration that the Electoral District of Churchill-Keewatinook Aski maintain its community of interest and community of identity.

If the Commission has any questions or concerns regarding our recommendations, we are available to meet or discuss.

Sincerely,

Larry Maguire, MP (Brandon-Souris)

Dan Mazier, MP (Dauphin-Swan River-Neepawa)
