I am writing to you regarding the new boundaries for the riding of Miramichi Grand-Lake. The LSD of Carleton which is Kouchibouguac -Laketon has been with this riding for many years and is very happy with this area.
In their notes the Kent Regional Service Commission is asking for the Community of Carleton to move with the riding of Beauséjour which would not be good for us as the Provincial Government just annexed us with the Communities of Pointe-Sapin, Escuminac, Hardwick, Baie Sainte-Anne and Cap de Richibouctou. As we are working together for the wellbeing of our residents it would be best to be together as a group in the Federal Riding, plus Carleton is a Bilingual Community about 55% English and 45% French. Baie-Sainte-Anne & Hardwick are mostly French speaking, and Escuminac is English speaking and have been annexed to the Kent Regional Service Commission this year. (Pointe-Sapin and Cap de Richibucto are French speaking.
