Federal electoral districts redistribution 2022

Les Pays-d'en-Haut Proposal

  • (Population: 106,091)
  • (Map 3)

Reason: The name of this new district evokes the settlement of the Laurentides toward the end of the 19th century, more precisely in what is today the RCM of Les Pays-d'en-Haut. It bears witness to the many challenges overcome by those who have participated in the development of this territory. It also brings to mind "Les belles histoires des pays d'en haut," the famous television series created by Claude-Henri Grignon based on his novel Un homme et son péché.
