Federal electoral districts redistribution 2022

Salaberry—Suroît—Soulanges Proposal

  • (Population: 118,474)
  • (Map 3)

Reason: The electoral district has been expanded to the north by adding the municipalities of Les Cèdres and Pointe-des-Cascades. In doing so, all the municipalities of the former municipal county of Soulanges (which existed from 1855 to 1980) are now part of the electoral district of Salaberry—Suroît, hence the relevance of adding the name Soulanges.
