Federal electoral districts redistribution 2022

Notice of Additional Public Hearing in Thunder Bay

London, Friday, October 28, 2022 – The Ontario Federal Electoral Boundaries Commission has been sharing its proposal for a new map of Ontario's federal electoral boundaries.

"We understand that the residents of Thunder Bay and surrounding areas would appreciate an opportunity to provide input in person," said The Honourable Justice Lynne C. Leitch, Chair of the Federal Electoral Boundaries Commission for Ontario.

The public is invited to attend an upcoming hearing on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, at 6:30 p.m. at the Valhalla Hotel & Conference Centre, 1 Valhalla Inn Road, Thunder Bay, Ontario.

The Electoral Boundaries Readjustment Act requires that parties wishing to make representations to the Commission give notice in writing to the Secretary of the Commission.

Those who wish to make an oral representation at this hearing must fill out a public hearing participation form (available on the Commission's website). They must give their name and address and a brief description of the representation and of their interest in the matter. Forms must be filed by November 4, 2022, to be considered by the Commission.

The Commission thanks you for your interest in the redistribution process.
