As a resident of the Municipality of Trent Lakes, I am very concerned about the proposed redistribution of our Federal riding of Peterborough-Kawartha.
This proposal would negatively impact our residents of this Municipality. Most of us shop and conduct our business in Peterborough, Selwyn, Douro-Dummer and Curve Lake. These areas are a natural extension of how we conduct our daily lives. As well, the County of Peterborough is responsible for the maintenance of many major roads in this Municipality. Even our various fire departments assist each other when needed. Community cohesiveness is a valuable Canadian asset and it should be preserved at all costs.
I have no connection with the Haliburton-Kawartha Lakes-Brock riding. I seldom visit this area as it is too far to travel on a regular basis.
I respectfully request that the Municipality of Trent Lakes continue to remain a vital part of the Peterborough-Kawartha riding.
