I was disappointed to read about the proposed change to the Simcoe North name for our riding. I have no problem with the change of boundary, but "Simcoe North" encompasses the entire area as opposed to "Penetanguishene Couchiching" which misses the mark in terms of the communities involved. I am a Penetanguishene resident and with my town's name front and center, I still dislike it. It is also ridiculously long and I don't believe would be used by residents. Simcoe North has an important historical significance dating back to the 1800's.
Please change the boundary if you must but retain "Simcoe North".
