The current name only represents one portion of the riding, specifically around the city of Collingwood and neighbouring ski resort. I would suggest a better name would incorporate both the escarpment as well other geographical features around the riding. One good name to use instead of Collingwood would be Nottawasaga which is the name of a local valley, bay, and river. This would improve the name of the riding to encompass more of the people, history, geography and communities within it.
