I would be very opposed to changing the name of the Toronto St. Paul riding to Toronto-Mt. Pleasant. That feels entirely inappropriate to me as well as highly confusing for many constituents! Very little of the riding is in the Mt. Pleasant area!! Also, taking the Leaside area away from Don Valley West and adding it to Toronto St. Paul's is equally inappropriate. TSP would be even more unwieldy than it is now, and for no good reason, as it would not change the population numbers in any substantial way. We are just now adjusting to our expanded riding boundaries. Please do not put us through this again!!
If you move the Dufferin boundary over to Oakwood, that has some merit, as does the small jog that is north of Eglinton, but I would be very opposed to any other adjustments of boundaries.
Thank you for rethinking these proposed changes. Toronto has been badly bruised in recent years with expanded riding boundaries and the subsequent loses of neighbourhood clusters. Please do not make yet more unnecessary changes.
