Parkdale - High Park Riding to Taiaiako'n - High Park
I am against any proposed name change that does not include Parkdale.
I find this quite ignorant and am dismayed that the commission has disrespected and dishonoured the community of Parkdale.
It is one of the oldest historical areas in the City of Toronto established in the 1850's with many homes and buildings gracing Victorian facades and architecture.
Notable Historical Residents include Dr Anderson Ruffin Abbott - first black Canadian physician John Dunn - businessman and politician, Walter O'Hara - Military Officer to name a few.
Several of ours streets are named after these historical figures of the past.
