As a resident of Agincourt community, who also spent my entire adult life grow up in this district, I'm deeply concerned with the proposed district change to eliminate my community off the electoral map.
After learning the long history of Agincourt, which is one of the oldest communities in Scarborough, its unique history and diversity represent the best interest of residents of the area. For example, the go train rail expansion project was not possible without the support of this community, which benefited communities from afar such as Stouffville. It is the generosity of people here that made it possible.
The voice and concerns can not be accurately or promptly represented to the parliament by merging the district with others.
Please deny such proposal for the benefit of the people.
