As a resident of the Maryvale neighbourhood of western Scarborough, I must say that the proposed new boundaries make no sense. Currently in Scarborough Centre, my area will be in Don Valley East, which will include part of North York, if the proposal changes go through. I do not understand why the boundary between the 2 ridings would be moved from Victoria Park Ave. to Warden Ave. Residents of western Scarborough have more in common with the rest of Scarborough than with those of North York, socio-economically and otherwise. Warden Ave seems like an arbitrary and ill-thought out boundary. I want a representative who is looking out for the best interests of my Scarborough riding, which may not be the same as the interests of those in North York.
