As a young adult and a resident from Scarborough-Agincourt who has lived here since I was a young kid, I am writing to you to let you know I am not supportive of your decision of redistributing some of the ridings in Scarborough and unreasonably wanting to merge some parts of the area into North York. If you actually do decide to merge some parts of Scarborough into North York, there can be some severe consequences for ordinary residents, including having to have property assessments, which will significantly increase property tax. That means the cost of living and the for the lower and middle class is going to be drastically increased, causing it to be even more difficult for everyday-people to afford to own a home. Not only are neighbourhoods going to be negatively impacted, businesses and other community organizations are going to experience a negative impact as well. So please reconsider your decision to redistribute the ridings in Scarborough and North York.
