I recently read about the process asking individuals to file written submissions with comments and feedback on the proposed boundaries and electoral district changes.
I would like my feedback to be considered in this process. We currently live in Battersea, Ontario and are considered part of the Electoral District of Lanark-Frontenac-Kingston.
We are located in South Frontenac where it is a 20 minute drive to Kingston and the Kingston MP constituent's office. Brockville is an hour away and not a place that we even visit. Our social and business activities take place in Kingston, not Gananoque, Prescott or Brockville.
Our fire and police services come from the Kingston area. We pay taxes toward the Kingston services.
It makes no sense to me to continue to include us in the Gananoque, Prescott or Brockville area (where we never go) and not in the Kingston area where we spend the majority of our time (work and leisure) and money.
