It has come to our attention that the boundaries of Kingston North are once again to be changed to Gananoque-Brockville-Prescott from South Frontenac.
We strongly oppose this change as well as the previous change from Kingston to South Frontenac.
We live in Kingston. We pay taxes in Kingston. We share services from Kingston such as fire, police, library and medical.
Our social, cultural and economic activities all center within Kingston not South Frontenac, Gananoque, Brockville or Prescott.
When we were with Kingston we knew our MP. Now we need to search high and low to even find out who is running and there is precious little information about them. These outlying areas do not concern themselves with the needs of Kingston North. They merely are looking at increasing the potential voters list but make no effort to come see this area. I have written to the MP's and have never received a response.
We would be much closer to our constituent's office if it were to be changed back to be included with our city, Kingston.
Please change us back to Kingston and the Islands.
