I am writing about possible changes to the electoral boundary just north of the 401 highway near Kingston. I feel that this area should be included within the Kingston and the Islands boundary for election purchases, not with the Brockville area. It shares emergency services with Kingston, property taxes are paid to the city of Kingston and to seek assistance from our local Member of Parliament, travel to the constituency office would be only about 10km away vs the 90km it would take if the area was within the Gananoque/Brockville/Prescott constituency. Also, the area shares social and economic ties with the city of Kingston.
This comment is being provided for your consideration to allow the area just North of the 401 in the Kingston area to be part of Kingston and the Islands for electoral boundary purposes.
