I am writing today to advise that I am strongly opposed to the recommendation of the Ontario Federal Redistribution Commission of including my area of Kingston and the Islands, where I currently reside, into a riding that includes Gananoque, Prescott, and Brockville. This recommendation is detrimental to the sense of community that I currently enjoy. I cannot support a recommendation to split the City of Kingston into different ridings and have no common interests with the residents of Gananoque, Brockville and Prescott.
I would ask that the Commission not consider this recommendation and reiterate my strong opposition.
