My name is Thea Tidman, my husband is Art and we live at XXXXXX, Glenburnie, ON, XXXXXX.
XXXXXX is 2 minutes north of the 401 off Montreal Street, 20 minutes from our vibrant Kingston downtown and 10 minutes from our very busy Division Street/401 shopping area. We are seniors and consider ourselves Kingstonians.... born and bred.
Our property taxes are paid to the City of Kingston, our garbage and recycling is picked up at the driveway by the City, and city police and fire departments look after us. Our social, cultural and economic activities are all centered in the Kingston area and it's ludicrous and insulting...and just plain dumb....to assume that our very important federal votes should count in the Gananoque-Brockville-Prescott area. We feel that we should be served by the member for Kingston and the Islands, whose constituency office is less that 10kms from our home. The Brockville constituency office in 90kms from here.....that's definitely a bit of a hike. We hope you will reconsider changing our area to the Gananoque-Brockville-Prescott electoral district and put us back into Kingston and the Islands.
