I am writing to express my desire for my residence to be included within the boundaries of the Kingston and the Islands federal district as opposed to the proposed riding of Gananoque-Brockville-Prescott.
I live within the city of Kingston at 2211 Shepherd Dr.; because this address in north of the 401 and in the "countryside district of the city, my federal election district has been Lanark-Frontenac-Kingston. The proposed change to include my residence in the Gananoque-Brockville-Prescott district makes even less sense.
I want my area (that is within the city limits of Kingston) to be included in the Kingston and the Islands district.
I share police and fire services with Kingston
My social, cultural, and economic activity all centers around Kingston (not Gananoque, Brockville, or Prescott)
I pay property taxes to the City of Kingston (not Gananoque, Brockville, or Prescott)
And the average distance to the constituency office would be 10 km in Kingston versus 90 km in Brockville.
