To the Federal Electoral Boundaries Commission for Ontario:

It is my understanding that the Commission is considering including GLENBURNIE, ON K0H1S0 to the Brockville/Gananoque/Perth district. I have a question regarding this decision:

1. What advantage, if any, is there in our being part of this district?

Rural is not a great answer as we receive no services or consideration because our landscape resembles Gananoque or Perth, And Brockville is closer in configuration to Kingston.

Being north of the 401 does not make us closer to northern neighbours than to our southern Kingston neighbor. Gananoque is a minimum of 30 minutes to City Hall and Brockville is a whopping 60 minutes away. And if I do show up there, the staff will ask why I am there and not Kingston City Hall. A good question. As none of these towns service our area.

Kingston takes in our property and education taxes, in exchange we get all the services that we need. Our schools are either in Glenburnie or within the Kingston city and township borders. We get our books from their libraries, we play soccer, hockey, baseball, and swim in the pools which are all within the city boundaries.

We are within 10 to 15 minutes from the hospitals. We are serviced by the city's fire departments, garbage removal and recycling. We get our vaccines and tests done at the Health clinics which again are only 5 to 10 minutes away.

so give me one good reason why we should be put in with gananoque, perth, brockville.

their ball teams are better, but other than that????

and please if you say it is politically motivated, then explain exactly what that means.

Thanks for reconsidering a poorly thought out decision.
