I reside in Kingston East, and I understand that a suggestion has been put forward that this portion of the current riding of Kingston and the Islands be combined with a riding that includes Gananoque, Prescott, and Brockville. I strongly oppose this suggestion. Our community is in the city of Kingston, all our services and amenities are Kingston based and we do not share common interests with these other communities.
Such a proposal is detrimental to our sense of community and will affect the accessibility to our elected representatives.
