In regards to the proposed redistribution of Pittsburg Township to be included with Gananoque, Prescott and Brockville:
- We are strongly opposed to this proposal and want to see Pittsburg Township remain a part of Kingston and the islands.
We do not share common interests with the residents of the communities listed above. We work in Kingston and our children attend school in Kingston. Such a change would be detrimental to our community ties and identity. We are strongly opposed to the recommendation that Pittsburg Township be redistributed and included with Leeds and Grenville.
