As a resident of Kingston I would like to offer my opinion on these boundaries.
I strongly favour putting the population north of Highway 401 back into the Kingston and the Islands federal riding boundary as opposed to having it included in the proposed riding of Gananoque-Brockville-Prescott.
This is part of Frontenac County not Leeds and Grenville. It is much closer to Kingston than Gananoque. The people there pay property taxes to the City of Kingston (not Gananoque, Brockville, or Prescott). They are serviced by Kingston Police and Fire Departments.
Keep it simple, fair and logical, not based on any predetermined formula.
