We would like to express our concerns with the proposed redistribution boundary between the proposed Oakville Lakeshore and Burlington Lakeshore tidings Currently, Burloak Dr is the dividing boundary between the city of Burlington and the Town of Oakville.

The proposal moves 800 metres of Burlington into a riding and city that has different social and economic interests. We moved to Burlington almost 40 years ago, to live in and be represented by elected Burlington officials. This change would create more work for city council, MPs, MPPs as well as complications for ratepayers.

Although population density is obviously the key consideration here, there is too much at stake for the residents of Elizabeth Gardens and the continuing enjoyment of our caring and vibrant neighbourhood. We actually live here and are represented by those with a commonality of peers, pay our taxes here etc.

We ask that you reconsider not moving the East/West boundary between Burlington Lakeshore and Oakville Lakeshore 800 metres to Appleby Line but retain the current and natural boundary of Burloak which separates Oakville and Burlington .
