Hello, my name is Adriana, a resident for North Oakville, ward 7. I support the Town of Oakville's decision to reject the new riding proposal.
Although our growing community is considered rural Oakville, we live of our day-day in unison with the Oakville riding. Our children go to school there, attend daycare. My husband has his business in South Oakville. It is important that Oakville, ward 7 is represented by someone who understands the needs of this growing community.
Being represented as part of Milton/Georgetown will be a disservice to this community. Milton is a separate city, with its own concerns. An MP from Milton will not understand the needs of the community.
We are part of Oakville and should be continued to be represented a such.
