I support the town of Oakville's motion that opposes the proposed electoral district boundary changes as it does not reflect Oakville's communities of identity or interest. Have a humble suggestion to keep Oakville as 2 electoral districts - Oakville Lakeshore and Oakville North. The Oakville North boundary could be on the east as Trafalgar Road, West as Bronte Road, South as Upper Middle Road, North as Lower baseline. This would better represent the people in federal elections, for the people of Oakville in terms of federal funding & collection of taxes and for the people to plan education, growth & well being of communities.

Moving the boundaries for the communities that are north of Dundas to Milton/Georgetown would have a major impact. The communities in the current Town of Oakville that are north of Dundas are cohesively connected and well managed. The population density between Dundas and Burnhamthorpe Road in current north Oakville is very high. North of Burnhamthorpe is sparsely populated. This is another reason to keep the densely populated areas as Oakville North.

In brief, 2 electoral districts - Oakville Lakeshore and Oakville North. Oakville North boundary could be on the east as Trafalgar Road, West as Bronte Road, South as Upper Middle Road, North as Lower baseline.

Thanks for inviting suggestions and concerns. Fully appreciate the process and believe the best for the communities will be adopted.

Thanks
