I am an Oakville resident and have been living this this town for over ten years. I have raised my two children in Oakville. All my family are proud to be Oakville residents and deeply love this town. We are living in the north of Dundas street Ward 7.
Now Federal electoral boundaries redrawing proposed to add North Oakville to Georgetown Milton - East Electoral Riding. My whole family and neighborhood view this step as against the interests of residents of North Oakville. North of Dundas street Ward Oakville wants to be a part of the Oakville boundary.
We strongly support the Town of Oakville's motion that opposes the proposed electoral district boundary changes as they do not reflect Oakville's community of identity or interest. We are not becoming a part of Milton or Georgetown. We will remain a part of Oakville. I am opposed to the proposed electoral redistribution and have raised my concerns with the MP and will formally submit my concerns as per the process.
