Recently I've become aware of the proposed changes to our HESC Federal boundaries. I would like to outline my concerns with them.
Firstly, I can see why having communities sharing the same waterfront would be an advantage as one MP could be better able to represent waterfront concerns.
My concerns are two. One is that the three areas are so diverse, socially, economically and politically. There is also diversity in the light industry to residential areas.
The second concern is that current and near future population density due to new developments already set to begin will significantly increase population creating under representation of people to one MP.
