Dear Ms. Puddy,
Thank you for the opportunity to participate and submit written comments on the proposed federal electoral district redistribution by the Federal Electoral Boundaries Commission for Ontario.
I have reviewed the proposed boundary adjustment for the riding of King—Vaughan, and I do not support the boundary adjustment in the south-western corner of the riding at the intersection of Highway 50 and Major Mackenzie Drive West, which now excludes the section of the Village of Kleinburg that is South of Nashville Road, West of Highway 27, South of Major Mackenzie Drive West and East of Highway 50. The relocation of this boundary will both reduce the representation of Kleinburg residents in King—Vaughan, as well as hinder the ability of organizations like the Kleinburg Nobleton Soccer Club to receive funding for federal government programs, that we would otherwise receive without these boundary changes.
I strongly encourage the Federal Electoral Boundaries Commission for Ontario to reconsider the boundary adjustment and maintain the riding's current boundary of King—Vaughan at Highway 50 to best serve the constituents of this community.
