I strongly object to the reduction of the number of ridings in Northern Ontario.

I acknowledge that the population density here in the North is much less than in Southern Ontario.

Because of the vast geographic area involved, Citizens have challenges accessing services and their government representatives. Similarly, representatives have challenges properly representing individual concerns from such a large and diverse area - even meeting with individuals is expensive, time-consuming and challenging. This results in poor representation for the people of Northern Ontario.

There is strong frustration over the impression that our resources are being exploited without regard for the needs of the citizens who develop and provide them.

We need more representation, not less, to properly advance the varied issues in our wide and diverse geographic area.
