My wife and I have considerable concern over the proposal to merge the two ridings of Kenora and Thunder Bay-Rainy River. Our primary concern is underrepresentation of Northwestern Ontario on the federal and provincial scenes. Northwestern Ontario has systemically been underrepresented for generations and our needs misunderstood as well. This amalgamation will exacerbate this situation and we are gravely concerned. We would like our voices to be heard as a vote of dissent towards the amalgamation of these ridings. We would prefer the ridings remain as they are.
