I am writing to urge the Commission to re-consider any possible changes to the electoral boundaries in Northern Ontario.

Although I live in the Ottawa area, I have visited the North and am somewhat familiar with the challenges people living there face. There is a large indigenous population and long distances exist between communities. At times the people feel isolated, even forgotten, as the needs of urban areas take over the media, in part because of easier access by politicians and journalists. While the population of Northern Ontario is not as great as that of Southern Ontario, these women and men deserve good representation. They have unique concerns which need to be heard.

Please do not cut representation in Northern Ontario! The interests of this region are important for all of us.
