Jane Armstrong
Petition to the Federal Electoral Boundaries Commission for Ontario / Government of Canada
- Whereas
- The Constitution of Canada requires that federal electoral districts be reviewed after each decennial (10-year) census and the Chief Electoral Officer is tasked with applying the representation formula found in the Constitution to determine the new allocation of seats;
- And
- A new representation distribution has been proposed for Ontario that would eliminate the Algoma-Manitoulin riding and replace it in a manner that under-represents our Electors.
- We, the undersigned (Citizens and Residents of the Algoma District, Ontario Canada, call upon Federal Electoral Boundaries Commission for Ontario / Government of Canada) to:
- Eliminate the proposed changes that will divide the Algoma District and area residents, and that would see the Municipality of Huron Shores split into two separate groups from Algoma-Manitoulin to two districts of Sault Ste Marie and Manitoulin-Nickel Belt
Signatures (Canadian citizens or residents only) (Please sign your name, do not print) |
