Comments:
The area of Corkery (i.e. West of the HWY 417 and 7 junction) is closely and culturally intertwined with Kanata North and Carp area. Corkery residents often commute to Kanata for groceries and essential services, unlike residents in Dunrobin and Kinburn (the northern areas of the former Kanata-Carleton riding). Corkery is, for all intents and purposes, an extension of Kanata's residential sector. Thus, Corkery should be included in the riding of Kanata.
Additionally, this boundary returns Bells Corners to the Nepean riding, establishing the eastern boundary of the Kanata riding as Moodie Drive, rather than lumping Bells' Corners in its entirety into Kanata. Bells Corners shares no relation to Kanata and should not be included within the riding boundaries. As an alternative to my proposed boundaries, Bells Corners could be omitted from the Kanata riding altogether.
