We do not support the proposed change to the riding containing Elgin County and the City of St. Thomas. Changing the riding to put St. Thomas in with a riding with part of London and separate it from Elgin County will not work. All of our services such as the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital, Elgin County libraries, County of Elgin services, etc. would leave the rural riding they support. This is unacceptable. London and St. Thomas have nothing in common. The constituents would be too diverse to be represented properly. Do not do this.
