Subject: Electoral Maps Redistribution

Thank you for the opportunity to make our voices heard.

I am at the point where I no longer feel it is worth my while to cast a vote and the electoral map is a major part of the problem. I live within the Boundaries of the Town of Riverview. As such, any questions and concerns I have are aligned with the residents of the Moncton Riverview Dieppe riding. However I am a resident of Fundy Royal. I find this exceptionally frustrating since I have rarely seen or spoken with the Honorable Member (from any party) for this riding. It is clear that I am not a concern for them and as a result I closely follow the Honorable Member for Moncton Riverview Dieppe for representation of my concerns.

To be frank, in every federal election, the candidates can't even figure out where the line is. Posters candidates for both riding cross over all the time. New residents to the area are often shocked when they arrive at their polling station to discover they are voting for candidates they know nothing about because they live in Riverview and followed the tri-community candidates and debates.

I realize that equitable population representation by riding is the goal here, but honestly, as a resident of an area, I want to vote with the residents of the area where I live, not a population that is not reflective of where I live.

If we can't do that, then it is time to revisit our electoral process and seriously revisit the idea of Proportional Representation.
