Chairperson
Electoral Boundaries Commission for Ontario

Dear Madam Justice Leitch,
I am aware that the Federal Electoral Boundaries Commission for Ontario is holding public hearings, in person and virtually, to gather comments and feedback on the proposed boundaries and electoral district names. I am pleased to offer some comments. It is great that Brampton will have another electoral district: Brampton-Mayfield West. We are the fastest growing large city in Canada. I know that our Members of Parliament represent large urban ridings.
I would like to suggest that you consider looking at the boundaries for Brampton Centre. I would like to see Peel Village and ?old? Brampton included in this riding. Perhaps the boundary for Brampton Centre could be Steeles to the south, Kennedy Road to the east and McLaughlin Road to the west. The characteristics and history of these areas are better aligned with Brampton Centre.
I wish you success with this project. I look forward to seeing your final report.
Sincerely,
