My name is Jay Fallis and I am a City Councillor in the City of Orillia. I am reaching out to you to offer suggestions on behalf of a constituent for the federal boundary redistribution. I agree with many of these suggestions. I have cced our federal MP for the riding, Adam Chambers, as well as Orillia's Mayor, Steve Clarke.

Suggestions

1. Orillia is the biggest population centre and it should be identified in the name of the riding.

   E.g. Orillia— Penetanguishene—Couchiching

   OR Penetanguishene—Couchiching—Orillia

2. More of Oro-Medonte should be incorporated into the Orillia— Penetanguishene—Couchiching riding. Many residents of the Oro-Medonte area spend their time in Orillia, especially those closest to Orillia. It would be ideal to maintain that connection. Alternatively, it might be worth considering removing the North Western beach portion of the riding, as that area is more interconnected with Wasaga Beach.

   This area includes: "Georgina Beach, Wymbolwood Beach, etc.) Further consultation with individuals in this area would likely be required.

3. A phone number should be provided so that those who don't use computers can still access information, ask questions, and request a deputation.
4. There should be more opportunities to have in-person hearings in every riding (especially in rural areas)
