Dear Ms. Puddy:
I am writing regarding the proposed new Collingwood-Blue Mountains federal electoral district.
Of concern is the name for the chosen district.
"Collingwood" and "Blue Mountains" does not reflect the make-up of the proposed region, which would also include Wasaga Beach, Grey Highlands, Clearview Township, Essa Township, Mulmur Township, and the part of Adjala-Tosorontio Township.
I am asking that the commission select a name more encompassing of the communities involved. This would provide greater clarity when the name is used. One suggestion is utilizing the name Simcoe-Grey-Dufferin.
