My wife and I were horrified to see the proposed new electoral boundaries for the Don Valley West riding. We cannot understand why the commission would entertain the splitting of Leaside into two parts - part of it in Don Valley West and another part in the "new" riding of St. Clair Mount Pleasant. The town of Leaside was incorporated in 1913. As well it was very much a planned community. We can see absolutely no reason for the splitting of the community into 2 separate parts, each part being swallowed by larger surrounding communities. Elections Canada needs to correct this major error!
We understand that there are some upcoming virtual meetings at the end of September. Regrettably we are unable to attend these meetings.
