I am writing to voice our deep concerns and disagreements on the proposal of removing Scarborough-Agincourt from the election ridings map. This riding's Demographics are made up of immigrants (two third of the population). Almost one out of every two residents here are of Chinese ethnic group. The redistribution plan will break the community cohesiveness of both our new and long-time residents, hurting their senses of belonging. The removal of MP /MPP is like muting our voices in the parliament and/or Queens Park. We are against any motion to reduce our rights and opportunities in all levels of governments. On the contrary, We need to keep and strengthen the leaderships of this riding.
