I'm writing to express my extreme opposition to the proposal to redraw the electoral boundaries for Scarborough Northwest.
This area consistently has to fight at every level of government - municipal, provincial, and federal for the representation we deserve. Our area is consistently underfunded, underserviced, and considered an afterthought. And yet, in spite of this, the sense of community and allegiance to Scarborough is so strong. We are not North York. There are vast differences that separate us culturally from North York and redrawing the boundaries are going to sever a crucial component of Scarborough culture.
Don't go through with this proposal. Keep Scarborough Scarborough.
