Our Agincourt community is very concerned for the unnecessary significant negative proposed changes, part of Scarborough are proposed to become North York; This 2022 Federal electoral boundary proposal is just hoping to force Scarborough- Agincourt community (West of Warden, Pharmacy to Victoria Park, South of Macnicoll) to join Don Valley North, which is in North York.
Scarborough has already a good and sufficient network of services, organizations and business that meet our unique needs, and our entire community is very pleased and happy as we are.
These unnecessary proposed changes will affect negatively health and senior care, impact negatively long standing businesses, (our Bridlewood Mall...) community organizations, and neighborhood communities. The move will result in new property assessments, causing increase in property taxes and just unnecessary and negative changes.
It is obvious that definitely our entire community in Scarborough-Agincourt oppose this unnecessary changes, which translates in huge waste of resources, time and taxpayers money. Why change, if is not really going to bring any positive significant benefits. "If ain't broken, why fix it?".
Thank you in advance for your kind understanding and valuable consideration. Our entire community of Scarborough-Agincourt look forward to receive just positive news to scrap entirely this proposal.
