I am writing concerning the proposed name change to the riding of Parkdale-High Park.
I am a longtime resident of Parkdale and have always been very active and involved in this community. It is a diverse, vibrant community named as part of a riding for more than a hundred years.
The proposed name change leaves virtually the whole east side of the riding unacknowledged.
I can think of no reason why the new name of the riding should not simply have an indigenous name added to it.
