I always find it strange that the residents of high-density condos and apartments at Yonge and Eglinton are always chopped up and redistributed among multiple less dense ridings. I sometimes worry that the opinions of these middle-class transit-riding folk are being diluted by splitting them up into ridings with lots of multi-millionaire house owners. This was especially apparent during COVID when the high COVID levels and low vaccination rates of the high-density Yonge-Eglinton neighbourhood was hidden because it was divided up into multiple political boundaries that included low-density rich house owners, making things seem fine even though Yonge-Eglinton would have otherwise qualified for additional interventions if it was in its own self-contained political boundary.
Would it be possible to keep the high-density areas along Eglinton, and especially in the Yonge-Eglinton-Mount Pleasant area together? It would ideally also be grouped with other high density neighbourhoods too.
