Our interests in Glenburnie do not align with the new proposed riding of Gananoque-Brockville-Prescott.
Being within the Kingston city limits, I believe we align more with Kingston and the Islands as:
- We share police and fire services with Kingston.
- Our social, cultural, and economic activity all center around Kingston (not Gananoque, Brockville, or Prescott).
- We pay property taxes to the City of Kingston (not Gananoque, Brockville, or Prescott).
- The average distance to the constituency office would be 10 km in Kingston versus 90 km in Brockville.
