I am sending this email to voice my displeasure with the proposed Electoral Boundary Redistribution and how it affects our household.
It would seem that you would like to group us in with Gananoque, Brockville and Prescott.
This makes very little sense in my eyes.
Property tax-paid to the City of Kingston.
Garbage and Recycling-picked up by trucks with "City of Kingston" on the doors.
Fire Services-City of Kingston East Fire Station #1 responds to our area. It is 3 kilometres to the south. Our neighbour directly across the road responds to that station as a volunteer fire fighter.
Ambulatory Services(Frontenac Paramedic Services)-10 kilometres to our south west.
They came to my mothers house when she was ill.
Police Services-City of Kingston Police decals on the doors.
Brockville based constituency office-40 minute drive from our house.
Kingston based constituency office-15 minute drive from our house.
We shop, go to the farmers market, go to the movies, go out for dinner.....all in Kingston.
It makes no sense to group our household with Prescott unless the goal is to make voters feel disconnected and that our voices are not being heard.
