I just want it to be known that I feel it is a disgrace that I am not able to vote for the people that live in the same city that I live in and pay my taxes to my interests do not align with the new proposed riding of Gananoque-Brockville-Prescott and do align more with Kingston and the Islands as his is where I am from and live an work! This includes:
- That I share police and fire services with Kingston.
- That my social, cultural, and economic activity all centers around Kingston (not Gananoque, Brockville, or Prescott).
- That I pay my property taxes to the City of Kingston (not Gananoque, Brockville, or Prescott).
- That the average distance to the constituency office would be 10 km in Kingston versus 90 km in Brockville.
I feel that not getting to vote for people that share the same area as I do you are discriminating that live within the city limits but live over the 401.
