I reside in the City of Kingston, approximately 1 km north of the 401. I am opposed to being placed in an electoral district other than Kingston and the Islands. My tax dollars go to the City of Kingston.

My services, emergency and otherwise, are provided by the City of Kingston. My friends and family reside in Kingston and that is where I socialize.

Candidates that run for political office in Kingston and the Islands are known to me. I have little or no knowledge of the municipalities east of Kingston. I have no first hand knowledge of any candidates who run for office in the area east of Kingston.

I feel that it is bad enough that I have been placed in a Provincial electoral district which runs from where I reside, in the south, up to Smiths Falls and beyond, to the north.

It seems wrong that municipally I vote in Kingston but have to vote in different ridings in Provincial and Federal elections.
