We recently moved to Inverary Ontario and I was shocked when I discovered that we are in the same electoral riding as Perth and Smith Falls. I understand that Elections Canada is redrawing the riding map and I hope that you will consider including communities just north of Kingston in the Kingston and the Islands riding.

The new proposed riding is Gananoque-Brockville-Prescott which makes absolutely no sense based on my proximity to Kingston. Currently our local police and fire services are shared with Kingston and we pay property tax to the City of Kingston.

A great majority of activities we do as a family centre around Kingston. Our employment, our children's activities, and all shopping and appointments take place in the City of Kingston. We do not contribute to the economy of Gananoque, Brockville or Prescott in any way whatsoever.

If I needed to visit my local constituency office it is a 15 minute drive to Kingston versus an hour drive to Brockville. It just doesn't make sense to me.

Thank you for taking the time to read my email. I hope that you receive similar emails from other people in my community and consider changing the boundaries of Kingston and the Islands to include communities north of the city.
